Exciting News from the Mikkelsen Lab!
Our latest research has been featured on the front cover of the March 2026 issue of Advanced Optical Materials! We’re excited to see this work highlighted in such a prominent way.
In this study, we explore how thin-film interference in diamond membranes can be used to control and enhance the emission from silicon vacancy (SiV) centers. By carefully engineering the optical environment, this work demonstrates a powerful and scalable approach for tailoring quantum emitter properties in diamond platforms.
This approach provides new opportunities for improving photon collection and controlling emission from solid-state quantum emitters, advancing the development of diamond-based quantum photonic technologies.
