We are proud to recognize the graduation of two exceptional PhD students — Eunso Shin and Hengming Li — who have completed their doctoral training in the Mikkelsen Lab.
Eunso’s research advanced ultrathin optoelectronics through work on metasurface-enhanced photodetectors, polarization-sensitive devices, and tunable plasmonic nanocavities.
Hengming focused on quantum nanophotonics, developing room-temperature single-photon sources using diamond color centers and exploring plasmonic enhancement and upconversion mechanisms.
Together, they exemplify the scientific excellence, creativity, and collaboration that drive the Mikkelsen Lab’s mission.
