We are delighted to celebrate the graduation of Siyuan Zhang, who has successfully completed his doctoral training in the Mikkelsen Lab.
Siyuan’s research advanced nonlinear metasurfaces for quantum nanophotonics, developing compact devices for efficient quantum light generation and frequency conversion, including ultrabright room-temperature single-photon sources at telecom wavelengths. His dedication, creativity, and collaborative spirit have been a tremendous asset to the lab.
We are excited to share that Siyuan is beginning the next chapter of his career at Apple — a well-deserved opportunity that reflects his talent and hard work.
